Thanks Swede and Jim.
Mine was waiting for me when I got home from a trip.
Very nice!
I aim to misbehave.
Mostly Harmless.
Got mine today!
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!

Me too. Thanks Jim and NOE.
Got mine Thursday. Nice.

I am still waiting (sniff, sniff) but hopefully, it'll get here tomorrow.

I am posting the "results" in the proper place.

Mold was waiting for me upon return from vacation. Have not used it yet however the craftsmanship is outstanding!
Thanks Jim for carrying the torch & NOE for a fine job.

Are there any leftovers on this group buy?
Contact SwedeNelson. He will let you know if there were any extras made and still available.
I recieved my mould a couple of days ago. It is beautiful piece of crafstmanship. I have a question to ask of the group. I have casted large .45 rifle bullets for years in single cavity iron blocks for BPCR. This is my first venture with an aluminum mould with 4 cavities. My first attempt produced wrinkled bullets -- temp to low. I cranked up the pot the next night and the bullets filled out but with fins-- 850 Degrees. I am casting lead/tin at approximately 15:1. What temp would you guys start at with this mould.
Thanks

Your on the right track.
I run mine at about 750 to 800.
800 unless I start to get frosted
then I back down to 750.
Fins on the nose or down on the bands?
Just curious.

Have had them in the same place on
my mould when I start to run it to hot.
Cut your temp back 50 deg and see if
that helps.
I enjoy sizing a round bullet.
I have to smile every time I run this
one.
And it works great in my 625 S&W.
Fun just gets funner.

Swede;
What cartridge is your 625? I have two .45 ACP 625's that are my two most used handguns. I plan on shooting my 454424 in these guns on occasion as well as my .45 Colts.
Dale53
I talked to Swede today and he is shooting a 625 (.45 ACP) with this bullet and states the accuracy is EXCELLENT.
That is REALLY good news.
I'm a happy man. I took delivery of my new Ruger SS (5½") Bisley .45 Colt/.45 Convertible and it should be a perfect vehicle for my new 454424 bullet.
Thank you, Swede and Jim - BIG TIME!
