    Flooded Basement

We had 15 in. of rain 2 weeks ago, My friend was in his basement and looked at the window well, Said it looked like a fish bowl, He got out with one gun and then the basement flooded and he ran out of the house for his life, Like us it was full of loading tools and supplies, The best thing he done after the basemnet was pumped out was with a hose he washed all the mud out of the dies and gave them a bath in oil. 4 of use took tools to clean up for him. I took a 3 gallon bucket full of dies and cleaned them up, Sure gald I have a lathe to clean them up, Today on the step was a 7 lbs. of AA2520 powder that was water soaked and said I could have it, I layed it out in the hot sun today and it dryed out and the powder coating is on it, I took 2 tablespoons of it and lite it, It burns very hot, Do yous think this powder is okey, Its a ball powder, Thanks for reading and hope you never get a flooded basement, Joe

It sounds like you made the best of things. If you have access to a Chrono, I would buy a lb of new and load both to a start level. Chronograph both loads. If no chrono, weigh charges to the nth and see where groups deviate in elevation. Good luck with it.
I would PM Felix as to this, he is the powder Genius.

Ball powder is made in and stored in water. If there is no contamination in it you should be good to go.

My condolences to your friend - only thing worse than flood is fire (nothing salvageable in a hot one)
