I used to use large marshmallows, carrots or dry dog food.

For coons, as open can of tuna fish, wired in place s those bandits could sometimes get it out of the trap without tripping it shut.

Woodchucks - may sound odd, but a jelly roll from the bakery - go figure, but I had good luck many times with jelly roll.

Rabbits are happiest eating without bending over. Place your bait at least 4" above the floor of the trap.
