    Peep sight I.D. Help

I have been unable to determine what rifle this sight is for. Very distinctive base only marking is “A T”. Anyone know what’s this is for?Click image for larger version.

How about a Remington Model 8.
It'll be handy if I never need it.

Correct, Remington Model 8 or 81.

Thanks fellows! Now that I know what to search for easy to identify. The stem at this point is not moving, no apparent rust and have put a few drops of oil in hopes it will free up. This was an unexpected treasure in a box of gun goodies I got at estate auction.

Not familiar with the site. Likely to offer it for sale in swap n sell here. I’m not likely to ever own a mod 8.

    .

Since those sights have been bringing in excess of $150USD these days, IMHO it would be best to place it F/S where it would receive the widest audience of potential buyers - like that Remington site , E-Bay, or one of the gun auction websites.
