Krieger is my preferred. Greem Mountain is a little cheaper and have good reviews.

Lilja and Pac-nor are good also. Hart was a top name but dont know if they are still in buisness. I have a Mcgowen on my one 3-55 its a great shooter. Also dont overlook douglas or shilen Ive had good performers with them also.

I have kriegers on my service rifles, very good. A lilja 3 groove on an ar. A pac nor. douglas, hart, mcgowen, and green mountain. My broschardt repo has an A Story 45 barrel on it its a great performer, his barrels are chocked also.

Green Mountain has very few in stock and to be honest I can understand their code. I just want a barrel blank, but a 3.5 taper, or what ever all this means. Thanks, I will Try Kreiger.

If you go with Krieger you have several choices for rifling types. You also can pick your land/groove width. Standard is 30/70. Some claim for lead the 50/50 width gives the best accuracy. I have two 50/50 width and I am very happy with them.
