    Question about the Henry .357:

Is it a full-length action designed for rifle cartridges, or shorter like a Winchester 92/Marlin 94?

It’s shorter. Between Marlin, Henry and Rossi, the Henry wins.

The M1892 Rossi action is puh-LENTY strong. You won't stretch it using any published .357 Magnum load. I have one in .45 Colt, with which I've achieved velocities near the .454 Casull level with same bullet weights. Even after all of that experimentation, it shoots as tightly as the first day I fired it.
The Mar-REM-lin action may be slightly stronger, given its more solid construction. But loads which stretch a Rossi M1892 will likely stretch a Marlin carbine also.
