    Lyman 287244 bullet mold

I have this Lyman mold that I obtained that has obviously been altered. The bullet diameter now is half an inch. Someone did also cross out the original number.
Two questions are what was 287244 originally for and what possibly could this new cut be for?
Yes, it needs a top spur cut plate and I no idea where to obtain that from. Probably not worth fixing anyways.

I would except it to be for a 7MM something as 7MM is .284 Ø

A sprue plate for any Ideal/ Lyman single cavity mold should work. Provided the screw hole isn't buggered up.

Going by the Lyman cherry number, it was probably meant for the 7x57. Moot point now.

No idea what it modified to fit.

    Thanks, guys, for the replies.
For whatever reason I did not get notification that anyone replied.

The screw hole isn't buggered up.

Anyways, if someone knew of a firm that will recut moulds/molds, they could make these into something else as I looked at some bigger bullets and they would just work I feel, but it would be really close.

If anyone wants them, they can have them for the postage.
