Enjoy the pleasures of working with a quality mold!
If you have a hotplate do a few heat cycles with the mold as I've found this helps with new HP molds.
I definitely want to see some nice photos of the results. Also, if possible, could you post some pics of them loaded. I've been considering this one, but would really appreciate seeing it from start to finish!!
That's one nice looking mold!
Get yourself a little 1KW hot plate and make a little garage to heat it up evenly...pay attention to temps. and you'll soon be casting 'goodens' from the very first pour. Rub a little pencil carbon on those HP insert tips, you'll be good to go.

Read noes instructions. I found them extremely helpful. Do they what cycling Atleast 4 times and smoke the mold to help minimize future lead buildup.
Nice!!!

VERY nice! Congrats. I agree with OS OK, let's see what kind of boolits she makes!
If you don't have a hot pad, put it in the oven and run it up to 400 degrees for a half and hour or so and repeat three times. It will make your first casting event much smoother.

Woa, do the pins tip out like that?!? That would keep the Bullets from ever sticking.
Looks great, please post results of your casting.

I have several RG molds and they will fight you a bit but they are much better after the mold is broken in. I put some Never-Seez in the slot tracks which really seems to help. One on my RG's is a 4-cav brass which is a thing of beauty and pride but boy will it ever give you a workout! My heavy iron H&G gang molds will wear you out too!

A learning curve for sure. Got a few bugs to work out but had to give it a run. She sure makes Purdy boolits when everything is running right. I think I need to run my lead a bit hotter.

What temp. were you running at on this batch?
How many culls vs keepers did you have?
Sure enough...these are 'Purdy Boolits'!
Let's see the next and finishing step...HiTec or PC and sized to go.
You know you can't quit here! Keep those Pic's coming.

I am running 50/50 at 650. Culled about 50% but my hot plate is into right now and most of those were cold mold issues. I want to make a few more but I will post.
