I f you have fire in the barrel, you almost have to have wet somewhere. I like the idea of changing the nipple, but you may have to drill out the rest of the block. I have heard of this about pedersoli.

Get on the N-SSA forum. Go to the shooting tips page and reach out to Charlie Hahn about your problem. He is the go to guy, plus you'll get a lot of other opinions.

    Greetings
    Another 59 shooter.
When you raise the block is it cutting the rear off the paper cartridge ?
I have used newspaper before as cartridges and as long as the paper gets cut it will go off.

I am using RWS 1081s in my Pedersoli '59 with no problems using tubes with curler paper bases.

I would email Pedersoli about it direct I have found them pretty good in responding unlike Uberti.

Also follow up on the NSSA suggestion and speaking with Charlie Hahn as he has lots of experience with fettling these Pedersoli's.

I love mine and after a hundred rounds or so the barrel just settled down and it is accurate as I can shoot with my eyes and the open sights.

Great info. Have my 1859 pedersoli on my lap as we speak …

Have not fired it yet. Looking to get some sights for it if anyone has a tang sight of some type.
