MP 359-640 Solid 170g Titegroup Load??

I’m having a hard time finding a mid-range (850 -1000 FPS) load for an MP359-640 Solid weighing 170g with Titegroup in a 357 case. I’ve looked through several manuals and cannot find any Titegroup loads for that weight cast bullet. Based upon some Titegroup Jacketed 38 Special +P and 357 loads, I’m thinking I should be in the 4.2g – 4.7g of Titegroup, but I’d like to confirm that before loading. Anyone loading this weight with Titegroup??

Just to be on the safe side of things, ( since your bullet is 12 grains heavier than used in the load data above ) I'd suggest starting things out at 3.9 grs. and " inch up " as you'd like.

Titegroup handles being reduced very well. I shoot 44 mag (200gr) and 45acp (165gr) with 4grs of TG. Thats over a 1 gr reduction from start loads for both. My 120lb wife can shoot these all day with no complaints and she is extremly recoil sensitive. If it were me, I would start with 3.0-3.5 and work up until I got leading or pressure signs.

I appreciate the responses, I have all the manuals and that data as well, however I just can't find anything for a lead 170g lead 357 with Titegroup. I'm really looking for someone who has loaded that weight or has quickload. I might just end up taking the 170g Jacketed Titegroup data and reducing it 10-20%.

My Lyman manual has a number of loads for the 170gr SWC, just not using Tightgroup. Interested in any of this data or are you wanting to stick with Tightgroup?
