Worked on my daughter's new(to her) house.

If they'd require licenses to build homes, there'd be a lot less rage killings in this world.

    Thinking about finding
where this dude's buried and going and pissing on his grave.

Water lines that start galvanized, change to copper, then back to galvanized. With sillcock valves wrapped with an old t-shirt because he was to lazy or cheap to replace the hose washers going to the washing machine.

No loading for a couple of days, my stuff is 250 miles away. I'm getting separation anxiety.

I squeezed a Turkish 8x57 stripper clip into becoming a .38 Special stripper clip- sort of.

I plan to carry it as a reload for my Rossi snub .38 Special. More comfortable in a pocket than the normal round speed loader.

I carry a 6 round leather belt slide in my pocket with 2 Speer snake shot and 4 back ups for my S&W 637. Don’t need it as often as I thought I would out here on the farm.

Is that easier to use than those plastic strips?

Maybe- but on a related note, I’ve had a .22 size plastic/rubber strip like that for years.
The other day it disintegrated in my back pocket!

Cast some pure 9mm bullets to use for bore slugging. Among several possibilities I need to investigate for leading in a new pistol barrel is a change in bullet to bore fit.

Got the idea here to give them a bit of a vice squeeze to fatten them up over bore diameter.

I have been using used brass as a mold for slugs. My first time I didn’t fill them full enough so they were too small to fill the bore. Just sayin.

Vice compression has gotten the shank diameter up to ~.365”, which I think should do the job.

I used a groove less bullet meant for coating, and figure the ogive will make it easier to start than something with a wad cutter profile.

Smelted some boolits I dug out of my backstop sandpile. Recycling, you know.

    Still on brass prep.
I have completed 7mm-08, 280Rem., and 7mmRem mag. cases, all sized trimmed, and wet tumbled. I'm finishing up 30-06 brass, I only worked up 250 of these older Federal brass.

Turns out I didn’t need quite so much diameter. Even without vise compression the 0.358” slug left a generous ring of swaged lead on the trailing end of the slug. Looked to me that I got the full depth of the grooves.

Introduced a recoil sensitive shooter to two new rounds. I think he liked the 350 legend better than the 300 blk. Now the shopping part begins and his wife will be mad at me again. Isnt life great.

Oh reloading room part. Now have a dozen or so empties that need to find some more friends to jump in the tumbler with to get cleaned and loaded.

Took my pint size cement mixer to the pistol range with a generator and water to mine for lead. In about an hour’s work got around 70 lbs of clean lead. Compared to bringing home buckets of sandy dirt with lead in to clean it was a successful experiment.

I really want a like button for this!!
    Great idea!

Today, after a 20 year lapse in reloading and casting, decided to get back into it. Not sure if I can find a lot of my reloading gear, ie:Press, dies, moulds, etc. I did find my old .44Mag/Special LEE LOADER, so there is that. I may use that while I design a new loading bench, and get it set up. At 70 years old, and a recent minor stroke sufferer, I am not as energized as I was 20 years ago, but...

Along that line of thought, I received 200 Bullets from MATT"S BULLETS. They are VERY light weight 150 grain .44 Wadcutters! Any ideas on loads to experiment with using these almost comical looking BOOLITS? They are sized to cylinder throats, and I will be usng them in a Model 69 S&W 2.75" or a 2.25" Charter Arms Bulldog.

Welcome back into the hobby. All the equipment is out there, although you might not like the prices.
