Today is the day! 10lbs pistol powder!

Finally got my hands (or credit card) on some titegroup! Most there was was 600 lbs of 1lb cans available. Total order was 196 and some change, but I figure I can finally reload some pistol for a change! Now I'm going to be late for work! Worth every penny I just spent!

Anyone had luck lately? Rifle powder is out there on shelves, but still a bit pricey. Glad I didn't buy the amount I wanted to yesterday or I would have missed this rare opportunity for pistol powder!

MidSouth had TiteGroup in stock before lunch, but I see it's gone now.

TG is my go-to powder. Love it! Tons of load data in the books for just about everything.

Glad you were able to snag some.

I'm dying for some W296. Seems like the leprechaun at the end of the rainbow - always just out of reach, and halfway mythical.

Bought a 8 lb jug the day before Newtown and still have about 3 lbs of it. If I would have know what was going to happen I would have bought more of 2400 instead.

I managed to get 2-4lb jugs and 4-1lb jugs of Titegroup about 2 months ago at my LGS. I was just there this afternoon and he told me that he is expecting a shipment of shotgun and pistol powder this week.

I got 3 lbs of red dot off the Bass Pro shop couple of weeks ago.

Big shipment just came in for me today with mostly dies, ammo boxes, and more quick change rings for my Lee Hand press.

I cast my first .358 boolits today, sized and loaded a couple for range test on my buddy's 9mm.

Nice thing about Red dot for these pistol rounds is it only takes about 4 grains per round. Pound should last for some time.

If you like the Red Dot, you'll love the Promo. Same as Red Dot just cheaper and in a bigger jug.

I could be wrong, but I believe that what we are seeing is the first waves of relief as manufactures finish processing the Government's HUGE orders. Seeing first slower rifle powders. (It would make sense that those would be least in demand, powder for the .223 most in demand)
Then seeing the Magnum pistol powders show up like 4227. Now the pistol powders are starting to show up like Unique, Red Dot.

This trend should continue to get better as time goes by meaning good news for us.

But I would warn you to stock up on lead, as I think it could be hard to find in the near future.

And I would love to see a breakdown of exactly what our Government has bought, what calibers, what shotshells, what rifle shells, what pistol calibers. The whole enchilada, how many tons of lead, how many primers, how much powder.

I was thinking the same thing ghosthawk. I remember something like 375,000 .357/.38 rounds for some off department of the irs or something silly. Maybe we're in the last stretch of "dry" and back into flourishing powder amounts! Still waiting on the 22lr bulk, but I saw it on the shelves of cabelas last week!
