I went into Academy Sports yesterday to buy a 1-pound bottle of Triple-7 powder for a friend who needed it for his muzzle stuffer. The bottle had a price sticker that read $39.99 and was my only purchase. The clerk ran it through his scanner and announced the final total is $50 and change, and I answered him with an "Excuse me..." He answered back they had just raised the price of this product to $45, then plus tax your cost is $50 and change. That was when I answered the store had 2 bottles of this same product, both wearing a price tag of $39.99. He looked down at the bottle and price sticker, deleted the previous purchase, manually inserted the sticker price and announced a final price at $43.69. I paid that price and found the exit door before they could change their mind. In his side talk that clerk stated the store was raising the price on most ammo and components due to Bidenomics. Academy has always offered their products at affordable prices but they are not immune from the forces working against their economy. Yes, I will continue to check their products in the future but will compare their prices against other suppliers.

I got 2 lbs of Hodgdon CFE BLK ($45 each) and 1 lb of Lil Gun ($40) from Powder Valley. Of course, there was $26 of Shipping and Tax added (it was a one day only Free HAzMat sale). I needed some fuel for my 218 Bee and 22 Hornet.
Being that we are in a Presidential election year I'm not letting price be a deal breaker on items I really need. It could be 5 years of total nonavailability beginning any time now.

Got 4lbs of Winchester 231 for $29/lb private party.
Turners had Winchester SPP for $6.98/100 and Federal LRP for $8.99/100. Came home with 2000 of the SPP and a full brick of the LRP. Looking forward to starting loading for rifle this year, so the LRP will be handy for 30-30 and 45-70

Picked up some Accurate TCM to try in 357 Magnum pistol rounds. Never used it before, but from the data I see, close to Alliant 2400, so, here we go!
I firmly believe that you should only get treated by how you act, not by who or what you are!!

Wife went to town, and was able to get 1 pound of Unique at $65.00 All they had. She also found and came home with CCI and Winchester primers, 20,000. Only $8.00 per 100 All she said was that was a little expensive.
