45 2.1's design for a dandy looking 30 caliber boolit...

boolit weight approximately 154gn. without check or lube

Bearing length of aprox .410

Base to crimp grooves = 0.335, 0.385, 0.435
.312 diameter drive bands, and a .301 nose..

Lee 6 cavity mold

Price is $60.00 which includes shipping and a mold for our resident mad boolit designer, without whom this would not be possible.

Only as difficult as pulling the handle on a sizer/lubesizer
That is what it is intended for, I should be able to use it in an old 30/30 H&R 158 unsized, and in my other 30's with a pass through the lyman sizer...

I size 0.311" for the 30-30 and 308 all the time. You shouldn't have any trouble.

That is a really nice looking boolit.
I've been shooting .313" cast in my 30-06 with good results.
The size of your chamber in the neck area will probably dictate how much you will need to size it so you'll have room for the neck to let go of the bullet.
I haven't tried any cast in my 309JDJ, only Rem 165 corelokts. It's painfully loud with the TC muzzle tamer brake on it(converted 12" stainless 30-30 hunter barrel).
