    littleton shot maker

I was setting up my table at the annual local gunshow today.
one vendor has a Littleton shot maker. priced $285
has ports for 7˝ and 8 size shot.
I wonder if it'll sell this weekend?

it's alot smaller than I thought a shot maker would be,
doesn't seem like it would be worth that much $$$ ?
    comments anyone,
    Jon

IIRC that is cheap for one of those units.

There is a thread here about home-built units and such somewhere.
IIRC one needs to keep the temp and level of lead fairly constant to produce consistent shot.

BUT after talking shot with a VERY accomplished trap and skeet shooter small variations in shot size really don't matter all that much anyways.

Its a good price. If I remember correctly, they are about $400. Littleton does have issues due to the 110 volt heating element. The better shot maker is supposed to be the cat meow.

thanks for the info so far.
I'll be watching it...If it's still there at the end of the show,
maybe I can work on the price, if the seller wants to really dump it.

it seems to have a small molten lead reservior,
I'd assume you'd need to have molten lead in another pot nearby
to refill it...or keep it full ?

Add a PID controller to the heating element and your temp problems would be solved.

You'd still have less into it than a new machine and it would be more consistent.

    Hi Jon!

Enter" littleton shot youtube" into your search engine and you can see these machines in action. Hopefully you snap it up at the end of the show. Magma has great folks and support for this product. If you make up your lifetime supply of shot over the next six months or so then sell it to me :^)

In fact, now that I think about it, and if your interested, I'll also pay half for it and we can co-own it. Cast all you need and I'll pay shipping to me. When you need it back I'll ship it to you. In fact, I'll pay for all of it. Cast up what you'll use for a year or two supply and I pay you to ship it to me. When you need it back just pay the shipping. We'll still co own it. I'm open to any combination, if it helps.

    John Wayne,
    Sorry, I didn't get it.
I got side tracked near the end of the show
with a vendor with 14+ lbs of powder, he wanted to sell only as ONE LOT,
and another vendor with a RED Lyman 45 lubsizer and a Ideal 25 cal pointy mold.
I was so excited about all those deals I totally forgot about the Littleton,
so I don't even know if it got sold or not.

I got a shot maker I want to sell.

It's not a littleton, but some other brand. I forget.
