Can't locate my old IHMSA notes right now but, as I recall, I loaded 30-31 gr. H4895 under the RCBS 145-grainer for a 14" 7R Intn'l (30-30 case necked down and blown-out with a sharp shoulder) which had a very similar capacity to the 7-30 Waters.

Don't know if this helps but I am shooting a 7mm TCU in both a 10" ported and a T/C carbine using 19 gr of 4198. The boolits are either the 130 Lee for target or the 140 Lee bator for hunting. This is a moderate load for an MV of 1550 in the 10" and 1900 in the carbine.

    Dragoon,
Don't know if you are still searching for loads, but here is what I'm using.
10.0gr of Trail Boss with the Lee 285-130 with no GC. Velocity is a measured 1350fps and no leading with straight WW lubed with LLA.

As soon as I get a few GC's to try, I'm going to bump up the velocity and see how it does.

I was fooling around with H322 and found that I really liked how it shot at 50 yards with the Noe hunter bullet. I don't remember the charge off hand but I do remember that it was starting charge for a 145 gr bullet from the hodgdon website.

I have had good luck with a caseload of VV170 but that is with a 24 barreled 94. Boolit is a lfn 130 by Veral. before he was a guest of our gov.
