    Lyman 356637 147gr?

Hello all. What is the difference in length between this boolit and the Magma 09-147 FP BB which many commercial casters use? Can one use the Lyman load data for the Magma boolit? I've not had the opportunity to measure the 356637 - any help is appreciated. Thanks.

My Magma 9-147-FN measures .668". If that helps.
I load mine out longer than the Lyman data shows for there bullet.
It’s near maximum magazine length. Magma’s bullet has a long nose that fits up into the bore so you can load it long. Can’t say what Lyman’s bullet fits like. The C.O.L. they show of 1.058” is shorter than I load my 124 grain bullets.

I'm having problems cycling the Magma boolits with longer OALs in my P226. I saw on here that Brad from MBC (who uses Magma molds) recommends an OAL of 1 .065 and the only published load data with that short an OAL is Lyman. Appreciate it if anyone here would measure and post the length of the 356637 boolit. ...and yes I did use the search function but the results were inconclusive.

In case anyone is interested, I call Lyman directly. They told me the OAL of the 9-147 FP from the 356637 mold is .682 and that is the boolit used in the Lyman load data with the COL 1.058. In any event, that gives me the baseline I needed to workup a load with the similar Magma boolit.
