If it was seated much deeper....it certainly would cause over pressure.. Seating Depth is Very Important...

Except Remington 6-1/2's...they are fragile cups truly..I'm warnin ya!!!Stay at lower Pressures with them...like Remington Advises!!!

Indeed...just a good load.. 14.0 gr is 1130 to 1150 fps in my 4" DW..
I do Not have any problem using SRP or SPP. interchangeably...tho I generally use SRP, in place of SPMag primers...and Not Rem...

I still get along well with my Old Lyman hand tools.. Admittedly I do Not fool with many crimped primers!! Uniforming, yes, I have done it!

Been scoping Contenders since the late '70's early '80's...Maybe I should try a "dot".... For some reason, I still feel Comfortable with a Really Good set of open sights!!!

I have never used any but Green Dot... serves very well indeed. I avoid other uses so I will have Green Dot for my 20ga!!!!

At one time I had a Babbitt alloy Chart...there are many it turns out..
I will try to find it! Lots of stuff besides lead, tin, and antimony, in Babbitt...I remember that!!!

Problem...700x cost is considerably higher than Nitro100NF, yet N100NF is entirely acceptable on clean. Yet costs less! And, N100NF is Very bulky, not like Trail Boss, but less is required than Trail...

This^^^, as I would Not be the guy to make a New Cherry, for every customer...and if I did...No one would buy it due to Expense.
But maybe cherries are Cheap??

I have been using the least expensive Lee Pot with a Ladle, since the '80's... Not exclusively anymore...but, it is still viable, and great for very small runs! FWIW

Tho I have Never had them "jump" out under recoil...I'm gonna guess that the "softer" material will be crimped better by the neck.

Might just be a Case of soft vs hard Alloy...I can Vary size quite a bit, with different alloy...Maybe you can Too, but...there are Problems with a too Hard alloy also..tho maybe Not so Much powder...

Hmmm, I simply need the capsule to clear the Cylinder.. Not all of my Guns require the same length, But, I only use One Revolver with Shot, and The Contender, which matters Not how long...to a point...

I will Note here, that I have that mold, and mine also drops Boolits almost perfect size for 38/357 coated...being .357...never Larger.

I always seated with my Thumb...unlikely to deform anything. But, I gots No Case Gauge...I use my Chamber.
