I'm planning to use this mold in my new p238, too. I sized to .359 and a couple of dummy rounds load/chamber ok. I'll be loading with ramshot zip and am using felix lube. What overall length are you...

Same here. Have bought from them without any problems at all.

Thanks for the recommendation. If like to get there, but it's a little far. Maybe they'll do something in OKC (can't make it up there this April).

Sent in an order for a service grade HRA and SA last week. Hoping to get loads ready before they get here.
Ben is right. I formed around a 100 rounds of 221 from 223. Not difficult, but tedious and time consuming. Annealing, forming, trimming, outside neck turning. I'll be buying any other 221 I need.

Thanks. I'll check that gas plug out.
Anyone shooting 311299 with success in their Garand?
Forum: Military Rifles
Thanks all.
Wish I did live close by, but I'll just have to order and see what I get.
Not sure if I'll go for an H&R or SA first. Ultimately would like to have at least one of each.
It's...

I'm looking to get all of my paperwork together and order a Garand (or 2) from the CMP. I'm looking for a couple of good shooters. What grade and manufacturer should I be looking at? I'll probably...

Cabelas near me has 10 or so out on the rack marked down to $399 ($100 off). They're yugos and for the difference in price between those and ones I've seen in cosmoline at gun shows I'd go for 2 at...

I've read on here that the Taurus bores are over-sized and you're going to need a fat 45 mold to get good results. Ranch dog is working on a mold with Taurus 45's in mind.
Exactly what I was thinking. Hodgdon has some data and I'd also trust the recent Guns and Ammo article. Haven't see much other "official" data.
Thanks Hicard. Not a powder I have on hand, but I'll pick up a pound.
Is anyone loading for 300 BLK with a 311299?
I'll be shooting them in a DSA upper in formed LC brass. I won't be using a suppressor and am just looking for accuracy and function (no velocity...

I use tapatalk and it's about the only way I access the forum. I heard it was going to be disabled at some point in the future (email exchange around the last donation drive). I'm not looking forward...

Recently bought a LFRB of .223 brass from Kathie. Would gladly do business again. Brass looked great, was shipped quickly, and the price was great.

One loose anvil is a mystery. Just found it laying on the bench. The other came out of the primer tray when I dumped it at the end of my loading session to put the few remaining back in their box. I...

I would guess the problems I had were missing anvils. After loading several hundred 223 I found 2 anvils laying on the bench. These were from the 5.56 primers. I had one failure on the range trip,...

Glad to find some feedback on these. I've used wolf primers and have only had a few not go bang, but even a small % is annoying. Powder valley has free shipping/haz-mat which is tempting, but I guess...

Bullshop,
Looks like this was the thread:

Tapping the alignment pin in was the ticket. 2 good whacks and the mold is closing up good now.
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll take alook at it and post back with what I find and pictures if I can't figure it out.
Appreciate the help.
I bought this mold a while back and just got it out to cast. The alignment pin on the far side doesn't quite align and keeps the mold from closing up tight. This leads to finned boolits unless I pour...
Sounds like I bought my wolf primers the same time you did. I've seen loose anvils in LR, SR, SP and LP. Even found one anvil laying on the bench after loading a few hundred .223. I guess I'll find...

Good looking little shooter. I just picked up an Inland a couple of months ago at a gun show, then last month picked up a universal (I know, I know, but it was $350 out the door :)). Been getting...
