Just send it back to Leupold they can reset it to 60 yards which is what the rimfire series are set to.

The waffle tops are a stamped rear sight like they used on the model 60's the folding rears didn't come along till the late 70's early 80's.

I've had great results with this bullet in a couple of .38-55 single shots using 9.5 grs of unique.

If the bore is a sewer pipe as you say I would send the barrel to Jes and have him turn it into a .32-20 you should be able to get the parts you need from Cpa they have quite a bit of model 44 parts...

Yes T/C made a maxi ball mold it was 103 grains. The revolvers are good to but the .32 revolver will take a larger ball than the rifle .310 for the rifle and .320-.323 for the revolver and a .451 or...

Its a cherokee model try around 30 grains of 3fg with a .310 round ball. The small bore T/C's were made in the 80's and early 90's and if in great shape can bring north of 600 but in very good bring...

Now I can use the excuse I've heard for years. "But honey it was on sale ".

I've used that mold in both 7.5 swiss and 30-06 with very good results. I am using unique but I'm also using gas checks. I'd try it with about 10 grs of unique and see what happens.

Yep if it's a take down it's a model 12. I thought that was a take down screw on the receiver but at the distance the picture was taken I wasn't sure.
Forum: Single Shot Guns
Looks like it might be a #12 model as the barrel is short for a 12/15. If the serial number starts with a P then its a 12/15 that someone put a straight stock on and trimmed 4 inches off the barrel.

Swisswaffen.com is a swiss website that has a serial number database for all swiss made military arms from the Vitali through to modern issue stuff. It's a great resource to look up dates of...
Those first two pictures look like something Fred Flintstone would take to the range. I may have to try and build one.

I'd put my bet on the primers not being deep enough in the cases. I had the same issue last spring with some winchester primers that I thought had gone bad but it turned out that my RCBS hand priming...
Slug the bore to make sure you don't need a. 379" or larger diameter bullet and then up your charge to at least 9.5 grs of unique without any filler.
I've seen blued metal turn that color after being scrubbed with a brass brush. Could this be the case.

Another thig to check is the bolt carrier key. Make sure its screwed tight to the carrier if its loose it can drag and slow down and prevent proper function.

You've done well pilgrim. Before installing the gas checks wipe the bullet base to make sure there is no lube on it that way your checks should be uniformly installed.

Sorry all but put yourself in my place a nearly 2000.00 shotgun and 600.00 plus for there tubes and work and it was a botched job.
Would you give them a positive review if you were in my shoes.
