Ive considered doing the same thing, but in the end I picked up a used barrel on gunbroker for about the same price as doing the 3" conversion. I was quoted $75 to do the conversion, and then...

I carry my 1911 in a Bianchi owb belt holster, when I can cover it with a coat or shirt. I just purchased a Lc9, and trying to decide on a holster, thinking about an Urban carry G3. I'm a skinny guy,...

I'm in the mood for a project, I have a 98 action that I have been saving, I have a stock coming for it, now for a barrel. Thinking heavy contour in 30-06, in looking on GB I'm seeing 700 sa for...

I seen that one for $330, but wow that's almost the price of a 700 rifle. I built one in 6.5x55 a few years ago, it turned out real nice. If I don't find one what would be a good alternative, I...
I use an old broken handle from a post hole digger, been using for 10yrs, its beat up but I still use it! I have a small dead blow hammer, but it didn't feel right to me, but I turned it around and...

I'd like to find a complete one, and don't want to have to search for to many parts. Boy the pawnshops used to be full of these, where'd they all go?
I just picked up a Ruger Ec9s, and really taking a liking to it, it's only 7rds but I'm getting another mag. Trigger is not bad, but better than the wife's 642, which is ok at best! Now to find a...

I think sarco used to sell them, but where would a fellow locate one?
I think I'd to build one up in 30-30 like TBG!

I'm glad that glock is making a 22, maybe it will introduce a whole generation of shooters, and that's what we need! I don't know why some folks don't care for block pistols, I'll admit that I wasn't...

Nice looking work! You can tune the stock springs by thinning them down on the sander/grinder, just don't get them hot. I love those Marlins, and really enjoy working on them, take your time with the...
I have a set of those in my cigar box of scope rings, they are odd! I was hoping some to run across a base for them someday.
I've been using 5w20 Mobile 1 for over 20 years, a good friend used in his racing engines. Before that my step dad told me to use Marvel mystery oil, and it's a great oil as well. I use Mobile 1 in...

I'm not sure, but I don't think those actions will stand 22-250 psi! They are dandy little rifles, an older friend of mine has one in 30-30, and uses 150gr ballistic tip bullets. He's used it on many...

I was planning on using guides to inlet the guard, I have beaded a few rifles, just never done a pillar bed! Does it require much alteration to the stock? Looks like the mag box is the same, but will...

I've priced everything from midway, just wasn't sure if it could be done or not. I know the inletting will take a lot of time, which it should if done right!
The older Jap Tasco's are decent scopes, but I wouldn't pay much for one. I've been using Redfield Reveluton scopes the last ten years, and am really impressed with them, I have 6 of them now with no...

I picked up a beater 700 Adl 243 a few months back, the stock need refinishing, but I've always liked the look of the older style Adl stock versus the Bdl. But however I'm not to fond of blind mag...
Looks great! I have always like the round nose bullets, they just seem to fall into a wheel gun with ease!
I did some measuring, and a 5/32 drill bit is pretty durn close. I'll polish it in the lathe, and make a handle for the pin. I notice they lock in place under a set screw, I'll have figure that one...
Sweet rifle! I to have a want for a HB '06, and I have a 98 action, just don't know what barrel to use!
I would save up, and get some 4350 and save the 3031 for the 30-30! Imr 4350 has always gotten me where I wanted to go with the '06, but on the other hand 1.75 groups ain't to bad!

I forgot, I also have the Lee hand press, and it's great for cold rainy days cooped up in the house! Actually it does about 50% of my pistol ammo reloading! I really like it.
I was thinking I'd make two pins, one HP and one short to make a flat nose!

It's a great powder for cast, but so is 2400 , and they still make it!
