Got these over the weekend. What do I have?
The first pic is what may be for an Acme press. (no coyotes seen) Some of the parts are marked Acme, patent pending.

Spent some time in the workshop. 50BMG decapping die. Made from 1-1/4" thick wall aluminum tubing. Since I like to decap my brass before cleaning I made this decapper. Had a spare Lee die nut handy....

Played around in the workshop today. Took an old Herter's 41 Mag expander die that was missing the expander assembly and turned it into a "powder cop" die.
Machined a bit of 3/4" brass hex rod...

I thought everyone knew this trick. I've been using shell holders for that since I first got my puller 8 or so years ago.

Thank you all for the info. My buddy will also be pleased to know this info too.

I guess I should have been more clear. Yes, we know it's a Rock Chucker. Which version? Thanks so far.

A buddy of mine has this older RCBS press. I made a primer catcher for it but would like to identify the press.
The rear upright is marked as follows: - RC -
The paint is not the original...

I keep hearing a lot of good things about the PM line of lathes. I'm hoping to move into a house with a garage this fall. I'll be looking at those to replace my little China-fu lathe.

World's most expensive power trimmer!
I like it!

Since I have a few separate toolheads setup for my Dillon BL550 I thought I'd design a way to mount them to the side of the shelves I store some of my reloading gear in. 3D printed.

Looks good! There was a time when I was flat broke. 223 brass was the savior for shooting my CZ52. I've even made brass from 38 special per notes in the Donnelly book.

There's always that guy that doesn't get it.

I've found a driver handle for 1/4" drive sockets fits the neck on 7.62x39 perfectly and works fine for water decapping. I usually just set my case inside a suitably big socket wrench to allow the...

I printed one of these. Works great! Thanks!

Ooooh. I need that for my Lee Challenger.
Thanks man!

You Sir are preaching to the choir. I have tools and the desire to be able to sit back and marvel at my handi-work.
It just never seems to dawn on some folks that while, yea, I can go buy brass,...

That's one heck of a write up. Thank you. While I can follow along (I grok all the steps and know how to run a lathe) others may benefit if you were to take some photos next time you convert some...

I made my collet chuck on the lathe.
Forum: Classics & Stickies
That's a good way to do that. Looks like a Unimat lathe? I use an ER collet chuck on my little bench lathe so no worry about a 3 jaw damaging the brass.
I'd honestly not trust a drill press to the...

Interesting process. Pics will be nice to see. Thanks!

And I have been at it again. This time I came up with a gadget to count the number of rounds I've made on my Dillon. This uses an Arduino for the brains, an LCD readout for the info and a simple...

Nice setup. I used the plastic bins for the bullet tray for a while, but I have gigantic hands so reaching in near the bottom for little 55 grain pills was annoying. Hence my "bowl" setup. I also...
