Agreed I'm not using the stated figures from the Lee chart because I noticed that the disks put out less than the quoted charge. I will try that and see if there's a disk which gets me close to 5.8....

On the mold mallet try getting a handle of a 4 lb hammer. Works just fine and it's cheap.

I melted a brick of alloy I didn't know what was in it but I did have some mushy oatmeal like stuff floating to the top which I just skinned off. Judging by the weight of the bullets I got good mold...

I joined about 2 years ago...I think...but only recently did my first and second try on casting. Thanks to the help of many who welcomed me to the forum I was able to produce about 80 bullets. Great...
