If you crimp the C312-185-2R in the crimp groove it's overall length is within spec. Therefore it fits the magazine.

C312-185-1R shoots well in my Mark X .308 and beagled in my Yugo SKS.
Where I hunt 100 yards is a long way unless your on a pipeline. Hornady 180 SSP in a 35 Rem Contender carbine has done well. For the .358 Win I use 200 gr. Rem or Hornady.
