How do you get a good crimp on the shells? I couldn't get the crimps even close to flush, and #8 shot slips out.

There is no gun in my safe that I enjoy NOT shooting.
I've sold two 686s. Would prefer to have a 586. Keeping an eye out for a nice at the right price. Good move on your part.
I have been wanting one--even had one on pre-order but then cancelled it. I decided that, since I primarily hunt paper targets, I could live with my Single-six in 32 Magnum. That doesn't keep me...
Agree with rintinglen's post immediately above. I prefer 3.2 grains or so of W231 or Green Dot.
A man after my own heart. GD is my favorite midrange handgun powder these days. I will have to try this in my Ruger 6.5"er.
I don't know why, but I haven't previously considered Power Pistol for my Ruger .32 Mag. That's a good idea, and I will have to try it.
Thus far, Power Pistol has been reserved for my 10mm.
Beautiful grips! For a moment, you had me thinking about trying to do the same--till you got to the part about glass bedding.
Guess I'll just buy some aftermarket grips.

I like Kroil a lot, and I want to try a number of Kano Labs's products. However, I have had equal success using the products from a couple competitors.

I've got one of the Lipsey's Single Sevens on order. It should be a fun gun, in the perfect package size for the round.
Regarding brass availability, if the Lipsey's special run does well,...
I put in my order for both a 5.5-incher and a 7.5-incher, in the hopes that one of the two might become available. We shall see.
Man, am i disappointed! I saw the thread title and thought I'd be reading about Winchester lever actions in .356 Win or .375 Win!

That 308ME seems like a nice one to get. It has already stuck around longer than the 307 Winchester. Maybe it'll be in production a few more years.
I happened to buy an 8-lb jug around 2010 or so, and I'm glad I did. You can load a LOT of handgun rounds with eight pounds of powder.
"Anybody like Green Dot in their .38's? 4 grains under a Lee 358-140-SWC launched out of my Ruger Service Six is super accurate."<br/>
Green Dot has become my go-to powder in plinking loads. It...

Thanks for the responses. I am not really partial to any design, since I primarily just hunt paper. Easy one-shot kills on those every time! I like the looks of both the Keith and WFN designs, but...

Just bought a S&W Model 57 with 4-inch barrel. Now I need to buy a mold and start casting so that I have something to shoot in this caliber.
What's your favorite range boolit in 41 magnum? I...
Good info in this thread. I've settled on Green Dot as a universal handgun powder that is available when everything else is sold out. It's the best powder I've found for 9mm and cast.

Green Dot, Red Dot, and Promo all are great in .38 Special.

I started this thread to get some data out there for others interested in using Green Dot.
Last weekend, I shot some .38 Special at 50 yards using Hornady 148-gr HBWC seated flush. I used 2.7-2.8...
My blued 44Spl flat top cylinder throats all measure .432 with my pin gauges. Perfect, since my three moulds drop at .434.

Education, too often, is wasted on the young.
I think I and many others would have benefited more by joining the military for a few years and then enrolling in college in our mid-20s, once some...

49 CFR is the section of the law dealing with that. DOT is the governing authority. You need real classroom training. I think that the "self-certify" part is UPS saying that the take your word for it...
