Never had 92-6-2 shatter. It needs nothing added for good fill out. It's the fool proof alloy for casting good bullets. Run it about 725 degrees.
I simply size the bullet as large as I can & still chamber, thus the plunk test. My S&W MPs will chamber nothing larger than .357 while the CZ75 has no problem with .358.
This is the 41 Keith at 230 grains. Walt Melander cut the mould for my Master Caster before he passed. The 41 guys loved this bullet.

I've been in revivals meetings all week. These young people sang one evening. Thought you might enjoy a song.

You are correct, the 45 is a MP copy of the RCBS SAA. It is a heavy bullet designed by Dave Scovill if memory serves for the Colt SAA. I sent him several of these sized .454" years ago for an article...
That's a great bullet. Here's one beside its 358 counterpart.

You will probably like the bullet & it should feed just fine. You may need to play with the OAL of the round.
We love pictures.

I was given this Swede 96 Carbine.

Geez, sore hands. I never had a hand press. I did have a Lee Loader through.

What we know sometimes makes little difference when trying to get it out. I suffer the same Larry.

This is what I normally use. Love the stuff.

I find the subject interesting & it answered Bazoo question about is it the norm to lube pistol brass. I agree with Bazoo, it’s not the norm. The only loaders I know personally who lube pistol brass...

Happy you had a chance to shoot a few rounds. I can almost see your smile. Shooting does that to you.
