I bought a rest for the Lee 20 pound pot for a couple bucks from Titan. About as easy as you can get… one hole, a 1/4-20 bolt and 2 nuts.

I was using my Father’s 1950s Super C when a friend asked me to clean out his father's old gear. There was a Rockchucker in the pile and it replaced the Super C overnight. Not sure the age of mine,...

I size Lee C312-155-2R from .314 to .310 so they will chamber in a 300 BLK AR. Doesn’t seem to hurt them any.
But I still prefer to load as cast.

Wouldn’t your professional have the very best current information?
Straight wall revolver cases? Flare, seat, roll crimp, done. Preferably on my SDB at 400 an hour.

What the hell would anyone do with 50 pounds of $19 a pound tin!?!? :bigsmyl2:

Some people believe exact alloys are important and they are willing to pay for them. Others believe ballpark is just fine and they try to save a buck where they can. Still others believe cost is king...

I’ve had dozens of them and there are more than a few pictures in the hallmarks thread. Everything from baby spoons to serving trays has been made in genuine pewter. I've bought, melted and sold more...

LOL! The "disguise" isn’t all that clever. :drinks:

You aren’t the first and won’t be the last to mistake Wilton pieces for pewter. Wouldn’t hurt to peruse the first few pages of the sticky linked in my signature.

I have had the PO say they were short cash. I was told to come back in a few hours and they should be able to cover. That was in 2019 or so. I can see how the accelerating use of credit cards for all...

The WGRS is about as low as you can go. I used one on an 1894C with the factory front. Just screw out the aperture for a ghost ring.

Pretty much like I thought. Melting a Dutch oven of WW a couple inches at a time would take much longer than putting a pair of diagonal cutters on every suspect weight.
Forum: Lead and Lead Alloys
I often see it suggested that melting WW at temperatures lower than the zinc melting point would avoid the risk of contamination. Just as often I wonder how one controls the temperature on the bottom...
I can see that happening, but we are talking about slingshot “rifles” here.

I feel that giant corporate conglomerates are bad for the consumer in general. I hope that there won’t be any change in quality or service, but look at what happened to Boeing after McDonnell...

2400 straddles the line between slow handgun and fast rifle powder. I use it in .357 mag, .44 mag, .30/30 and .35 REM. One of my favorite powders. Check the Silhouette section of older Alliant...
Regards the broken band concerns… as long as your face is farther from the release mechanism than the relaxed band length, it can’t hit you. You might take a whip to your arm, perhaps some crazy...

Isn’t the C frame just a stack of sheetmetal? Can’t you drill the hole pattern you need for the attach brackets you have?

Hardly a thing exists that a man can’t make it a little cheaper and sell it for a little less.
I’d get a .40 bronze cleaning brush and spin it in a drill motor after letting the chamber soak in an inch of my favorite solvent for a couple hours.

My C309-150-F engraves rifling too. The lever closes just fine and the boolits don’t pull if I want to unload it without firing.
