Same here for all my forming for 50 years. One swipe with the fine blade and onto my Forester trimmer.

Both the 120 grain Gold Dot and the 123 grain SST over IMR 8208 work well out of my 20" AR.

I sometimes dream of finding a barrel in .458" with a 1/18 twist for my 54 cal. T/C Renegade, just so I could use the Lee 457-340 grain Lee or the Lyman 457122.

I cast both from Lee six cavity moulds. Both shoot well PCed over 4227 in my 16" 300 Black AR

We have two 16" 300 blacks in the household. Both are Palmetto uppers. Both are dedicated to the Lee twins (powder coated 312-155 and 312-160s). Cheaper to load and shoot than 5.56.

Too small or too hard is always a problem.

I've been preaching that for years, but few believe it. Now that PC has come along, the hardest I shoot is 50/50, but Powder coated pure lead has yet to fail me. Size is King.

There is a forum on the NOE Site, and that reloading data used to be available. If it's not anymore, call Al and ask for the link.

That bullet cast from SOWW and powder coated comes out close to 270 grains and will penetrate completely through a whitetail at 900 fps out of my 5 1/2" Blackhawk. No need for 1300 fps.
Yes, a good thread. I've been searching for revolver data for Starline 45 Cowboy Special with a 255 grain cast.

I've placed two orders within the past month for expanders and a 378-270-FN-W4 4 Cavity RG4 mold that were in stock. Both orders were shipped within 3 days. Great products.

I powder coat 99 percent of my cast bullets and have moved my RCBS lubrisizer and the GH&I die collection to the shelf. Years ago I moved over to Lee push through and I'll never go back.

I have a pair of PSA 16" uppers in 300 Black Out.Both have been 100 percent reliable with 15 grains of IMR-4227 under gas checked and powder coated Lee C312-155-2R and Lee C312-160-2Rs. Carbine...

Try Smoke"s Clear. I seems to flow better with a thinner coat. Works well in two of my AR builds in 300 AAC with the Lee six cavity 312-155-2R and my old Lyman 308170 FP The ride portion just kisses...

If Smoke doesn't offer it, I'd stay away from the color for shake-n-bake. This may sound strange but some colors have different attributes. Smokes "Clear" and his "Bacon Grease" are consistently...

Smoke's Bacon Grease and Clear both slide through the sizer easier than the White Aluminum or the Signal Blue.

The Lee handles fit my RCBS 2 cavity and both 1 and 2 cavity Lyman molds. They are not made of "pot metal" and I prefer them over my Lyman handles.
