Extractor rings are proceeding well.
They have been formed and now need to be hardened and tempered.
Next step will be to make the extractors!

Nice project!
I will be eagerly awaiting your updates!

I had some time today and I started working on the extractor ring dies.
I made a couple out of scrap aluminum siding pieces and they need a little more work but show promise!

I got a job that was supposed to be part time but since they are short staffed they asked me to work full time “until after the holidays “ , that was in the middle of October and I am finally getting...

I am not knowledgeable enough to post pics here but it looks just like the original press with just a blast shield around the primer magazine.
All of the modifications are on the inside and not...

I just made some fried cauliflower and it is really good!
Cut the cauliflower into pieces like small trees not little crumbs.
Boil the pieces in a couple quarts of water and a little salt and...
Check to see if the rubber O ring is still there or if you have 2 of them installed.
I had a problem like that and it was the O ring.

Worked on the CH Auto Champ conversion and sized, deprimed and primed a couple hundred 9mm cases.
Yes, I shot some of the NT brass today and it was not a problem.

Test run was successful!
I consider this project complete!
I ran across some Federal 9mm NT brass and it has crimped primers.
Be careful if you’re running a progressive press.
I had a solid lock up on the Auto Champ I just finished setting up to size,...

The press was not designed with a blast shield around the primer magazine and the one that I have made rubbed against the die plate so I had to mill a relief into the die plate aprox 0.100” deep and...

I inspect after tumbling but some crack after sizing or when the case mouth is belled. It is easier to recover the primer than pull the boolit and catch the powder and recover the primer!

I have the primer magazine almost finished! It is a little wobbly so I have to figure out his to make it more stable.
It works well, I primed 100 cases with no problems!
