End of watch
A former colleague of mine died as the result of rear end collision. Dekalb Co Sheriffs Deputy Christina Musil passed early this am. While on duty, her squad was rear ended by a semi. RIP Christina. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your loved ones.

Sorry to hear that! The highway is a very dangerous place for cops and first responders! RIP Christina.

Prayers to her family and all those officiers whom she served with; such a sad ending to someone to young to die.

When I was in C Co 3/12 SFG(A), a reserve unit that no longer exists, one of the other A team commanders was an LAPD officer doing a traffic stop. At the time when doing so what presented to the back of the car was a blinking yellow light.
Some drunk thought it was an intersection light about to go red, floored it and aimed straight for his car. Chuck survived along with the drunk (how we know what actually happened) but Captain Chuck Morrow was medically retired from LAPD, and obviously no longer in my unit after that. It was the incident that started the change to the yellow lights blinking from one side to the other. This was around 1984 I think.
