Lyman/Ideal 429336
I've been on the lookout for one of these molds for a long time to re-create some nostalgic target loads in 44 Special. Would anyone be able to measure their mold/cast bullet for me so I might be able to order a mold from Accurate? Overall length, driving band width, meplat dia, distance from meplat to top band, base to top band, nose dia at the top band etc.
Thank you.

Had one and it's gone by the wayside so no measurements available. Sorry.
I always contended that old Elmer copied the design for his 429421 and added a crimp groove. It shoots like a 429421 except for the crimping. My mould ran bullets of 257.1 grains sized and lubed. It's a good quest for nostalgia but I really missed the crimp groove and didn't load it much.
Good luck in your quest./beagle

Yeah, I would agree with you that the 429336 was most certainly the design Keith tweaked into his famous bullet. I saw a beautiful Lyman 4 cavity 429336 last year and still regret not shelling out for it. Live and learn, and keep the shooting fund full at all times :-)
