Anybody know a paint product that is a close match to the color on a Star Lube Sizer?
A place that sells automotive paint can match it.
Thanks Winger Ed. I will try some of the places that supply automotive paint. I was hoping that someone had refinished their Star and found a COTS product.
Well, glad to help.
Spray cans are OK, but car paint-- even though it really needs to be sprayed on is way tougher.
Due to the chemistry going on, the higher quality paints don't lend them selves to being put in a spray can.
any original color can be scanned and reproduced in any serious paint/automotive shop now and mixed/prepared on the spot_ just bring a sample or in this case the Star Lube Sizer to the shop, if it still has traces of OEM paint_
generally in quantities not less than 3/4litre/can_
then you can apply the paint with a brush or even better with a suitable airbrush_
Still has some paint on it. I have an Iwata Lph 50 Spray Gun. Thanks for all the insight on sourcing from automotive paint suppliers.
