I think they are out of business but you might call buffalo arms and check with them ,
I have the same thing but on a different sight. I am going to round the end of a drill bit shank just the size of the hole and cut it off short. My sight does have a spring for the tension to lock it in the upright position and yours probably did also. don't know if this helps.

If you can determine the diameter of the missing detent ball, you may have luck doing a search for ball bearings of that size.
If you are real lucky, these folks might have what you need ...

BACO still offers a couple of these sights. Don't know about spare parts though.
thanks, you guys may have the answer.
co. called me yesterday and said they would send the ball bearing and the little spring. the ball bearing is 1/16 th diam. thanks for your input.
which company BAco or smith enterprises? please..
smith enterprises.
If you have factory parts on the way then great but for any future possibility the springs and ball bearings are easy to find, most any Ace hardware will have 1/16" hardened steel balls along with just about any other size anyone is likely to need, springs are available in just about any shape and tension and I have yet to go there and not find a spring that can not be used for my purpose. I have bought those steel balls there several times in various sizes, recently I bought some 3/16" balls to repair the casters on my floor jack.
Smith Enterprise is alive and well, AFAIK. I spoke with one of their salesmen recently about some sound suppressors.
It's good the parts are available , I was told that they quit making the sight. Hope it was misinformation.
he told me he makes about 150 sights a year. he said they are all machined and nothing is bent into shape. thanks again every one about parts as ive learned that they are 1/16 ball bearings and those are available easily and springs can be had also. its a very good sight.
