Another powder that I would try is CleanShot. I have some published data for it in the .45 LC with 200 gr RN bullet:
3.3 gr for 363 fps
8.2 gr for 1031 fps.

Dunno where OP is located but last time (two weeks ago) I dropped by my favorite LGS, he had both Clays and 700X on the shelf. Also, a quick Google search turned up two or three online suppliers showing Clays in stock.
